Bradshaw Meg 1

Meg joined The Hechtman Group LLC in 2020 as a Client Advisory Services (CAS) specialist, where she provides outsourced accounting services to small businesses.  She manages accounts payable and receivable; payroll; sales tax returns; bank and investment fund reconciliations.  With an eye on the tax code, she records client transactions to match tax return line items.  Beyond day-to-day matters, Meg enjoys working with clients to spot issues and solve problems, and she revels in her clients’ successes.

A policy enthusiast, Meg is fascinated by how tax policy incentivizes behavior, and how it reflects a society’s values and character.  She studied economics and tax policy in the course of earning her Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs from Indiana University’s School of Public & Environmental Affairs. In her 18 years at Bradshaw Social Security Law PC, she came to revere America’s social security insurance program as a bulwark against poverty. Most recently, Meg worked in accounting for Wolin Enterprises Inc and became its point person for COVID-19 relief programs.

Meg grew up in Indiana and New York before moving to Illinois in 1998. She is a fan of public radio, with several favorite programs including the quiz show “Wait, Wait…Don’t Tell Me!” On the weekends, she co-leads an adult discussion group on philosophy and world religion. Most of all, she cherishes time spent with her life partner and his grandchildren.
