Karen is a Client Advisory Services (CAS) specialist and a native of Chicago. For the past 13 years, she has worked with Echales, Benjamin, and Simkin, LLP for their wealth management firm, and joined The Hechtman Group in 2021 following a joint merger of the two firms.
A graduate of National Louis University, she has been able to use her degree in applied behavioral health in her interactions with clients. As a CAS. specialist, Karen supports family practice clients by providing personalized accounting services focused on the client’s needs. Karen takes time to engage with her clients, building a connection and confidence in her that lasts long-term.
Prior to joining EBS, Karen was an active mom and entrepreneur. While her children were in school, she was an involved member of the local PTA and the school board, and an enthusiastic community volunteer.
A tennis player, Karen participates in several local mixed doubles tennis leagues and on a number of USTA travel teams. She also enjoys staying active through bike riding, Pilates, and frequent visits to the Chicago Botanic Gardens. When time permits, her top choices for travel destinations are South Carolina and Tennessee to visit her kids and grandpuppies.
