Christopher Blatner Light B

Christopher Blatner is a Tax Manager at The Hechtman Group, bringing a strong tax background and a people-first approach to his role. Originally from Buffalo, NY, Chris earned his degree from Canisius College, a Jesuit institution known locally for its business and accounting programs. He began his career at The Bonadio Group, where he started in cost segregation before transitioning to their tax practice. He later spent six years at CTBK LLP, one of Buffalo’s largest firms, followed by a stint at a boutique firm, LVBW, before joining The Hechtman Group in May 2025.

Chris focuses on building relationships with clients while providing tax planning and compliance services. He enjoys the relational aspect of accounting—partnering with clients to achieve their goals, mentoring younger staff, and breaking the stereotype that accountants are all about numbers. His approach centers on making clients feel heard, supported, and valued—not just as clients, but as people.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and young daughter, exploring new restaurants in Buffalo, and taking spontaneous road trips. He’s also a fan of grilling and smoking meats, camping, fishing, golfing, and enjoying good food and dive bars in historically rich destinations.
