Brian joined The Hechtman Group in 2020 as Tax Manager and was promoted to Senior Tax Manager in 2022. A native of Kentucky, Brian now lives in the Edgewater neighborhood of Chicago, IL. He brings over 18 years of experience in business and individual tax planning, payroll, and financial management, and actively holds CPA licenses in Kentucky and Illinois.
Brian’s previous professional experience includes a successful history with CPA firms in Kentucky and Illinois. He has been a member of the Kentucky Society of CPAs and the Illinois Society of CPAs, and has also served as lead instructor with Becker CPA Review. He earned a bachelor’s in accounting from Morehead State University, and an Associate Degree in Marketing from Kentucky Community & Technical College System.
Brian appreciates the supportive environment of the firm in addition to a proactive, forward-thinking mentality that the entire firm embraces. It is with this same approach that he builds client relationships – making their goals the primary focus and developing a tax and accounting plan based on this information.
An avid basketball fan, sports and travel are favorite ways to spend his time outside the office. His active bucket list includes a trip to all 50 states.
