Chicago native Ashley Lopez joined The Hechtman Group as Staff Accountant in 2022. In her role, Ashley is responsible for bookkeeping and the support of senior staff accountants with the organization of paperwork for client tax return filings.
Ashley is a first-generation student in her family, who emigrated from Mexico. Her goal to be an accountant and help people achieve financial success, is what motivated her to complete a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Lewis University. During her time at Lewis, Ashley worked in the mailroom at the University. She is actively pursuing her master’s degree.
Like many of her peers, Ashley joined The Hechtman Group for the positive culture, family atmosphere, and firm sincerity to mentor employees and help them grow in their careers. She is focused on supporting clients, contacting them to request files or receive clarification about documents sent.
Ashley is a big Harry Potter fan, and has also watched the “Lord of the Ring” series. Her favorite quote comes from the “The Fellowship of the Ring”, “All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.” Family is her priority, which is how she chooses to spend the time she’s given.
