Meet Anastasiia Shapovalova, Staff Accountant with The Hechtman Group. She joined the firm in early 2022 as a tax intern to determine if she wanted to be an accountant. Her experience at The Hechtman Group, which she describes as “unified, productive, and passionate”, was so great she decided to join the firm full-time.
Originally from Kurgan, Russian, Anastasiia graduated Lake Forest College with a double major in mathematics and finance. While attending school, she worked as Customer Service Coordinator and Cash Office Associate for TJX Companies. She also utilized her academic expertise to serve as a tutor for math and accounting.
An artist in dance and photography, Anastasiia is a former dancer who still enjoys time in the studio. She discovered her passion for photography in high school, and is a freelance photographer for people in her free time. She is well-versed in digital and photoshop. A true artist.
Anastasiia has traveled quite a bit and hopes to visit Paris one day. Her favorite location to date is San Francisco, for its breathtaking panoramic views.
