Alex Ailutoaei joined The Hechtman Group team in 2023 as a Staff Accountant. In this role, Alex prepares various types of tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, corporations, and estates as well as conducts year-end planning for clients. Alex finds fulfillment in helping others understand the immensely complex and ever-changing system of taxation and how it affects them on a personal level. Even more, Alex enjoys the challenge of figuring out how all the parts of a person or business’ finances fit together.
After graduating from William Rainey Harper College with an Associate in Arts degree, Alex went on to get his Bachelors in Business with a concentration in accounting from Lake Forest College. Alex has held a variety of interesting jobs from working at a butcher shop in the suburbs to working as a Culinary Manager at Meez Meals to most recently working as a bookkeeper at True Pro Development.
When Alex isn’t at work, he enjoys skimming through cookbooks and cooking for his friends, playing volleyball, and gardening. Alex also enjoys comic books, playing Dungeon and Dragons, hanging out with his Russian Blue Mix cat named Gandalf, and traveling to the East Coast. Finally, when it comes to working, the best piece of advice that Alex has been given is that “slow is smooth and smooth is fast.”
