Jordan Werblow specializes in the taxation of corporations, partnerships, LLC's, individuals and fiduciaries. He received an undergraduate Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Indiana University (IU) in 1990. Jordan sat for the CPA exam one day prior to his graduation from IU. He happily passed the exam on his first attempt. He received a Masters of Taxation from DePaul University in 1994. He was the initial recipient of the James Kidd Memorial Award honoring the top student in the Masters of Taxation program. Jordan worked in the tax departments of a national public accounting firm for 8 1/2 years and a regional Chicago public accounting firm for 1 1/2 years prior to accepting a position to head tax operations at the Hechtman Group Ltd. in January of 2001. Jordan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Illinois CPA Society. He has authored articles for publication in The Practical Accountant and the Tax Advisor.

On a personal note, Jordan and his wife, Alisa, have two young children, Andrew and Erica. Both keep Jordan on his toes daily. In the little free time that Jordan can manufacture, he is an avid runner which allows him to also be an avid eater. Jordan is attempting to try every chicken wing prepared in the Chicagoland area, in hopes of later publishing a Chicago Guide to Dining on Chicken Wings. This is not a heart healthy exercise. He also makes a mean chicken wing of his own, which will show up as an entry in the previously mentioned Chicken Wing Dining Guide. Jordan and Alisa were 15 year City of Chicago North side residents who were not able to withstand suburbia’s gravitational pull due to the arrival of their daughter in 2005. They now reside in the Lake Zurich area, which also provides Jordan with exposure to new sources of chicken wings.
